Our Attorneys Believe in Transparency so Nothing Gets Lost in Translation

"I was very happy and well pleased with the service from Kelly Miles and Bryce Froerer. They explained things for a non-legal mind carefully and thoroughly. If I had any questions, I could ask anything and they would give a good answer. I was so satisfied. Most people don't speak legalese and need translation. Froerer & Miles, P.C. met me with a smile. They were thorough and efficient, but never turned down a question. They answered everything for us, and believe me, we had a lot. I would definitely recommend their firm because they are thorough and considerate."

FAQ About Child Support and Adoption

Do I have to continue child support payments if my child is adopted by a new family?

No. If you are divorced or otherwise separated from your child's other birth parent, and you both sign consent-to-adopt documents, you are no longer liable to pay child support once parental rights are terminated.

I'm behind on my payments. Will I need to pay those once my parental rights are terminated?

It depends on the parental termination of rights contract. It would be best to contact Bryce at our Ogden, UT, office to get an exact answer.
